CORENET X
is a co-creation effort led by BCA and URA between the public agencies and industry to transform the current regulatory landscape and practices through process re-engineering, adoption of Building Information Modelling (“BIM”) technologies and collaborative workflows.

It will allow Qualified Persons (QPs) to submit a three-dimensional model of a development or building to the regulatory agencies using BIM

CORENET X is targeted to be rolled out from end 2023 and is conceived as the future ecosystem of regulatory approvals

What is CORENET?

CORENET (COnstruction and Real Estate NETwork) is a major IT initiative led by the Ministry of National Development and driven by the Building and Construction Authority in collaboration with other public and private organisations. Learn More

CORENET X will shift from project parties submitting in silos, to upfront design coordination by project parties that is enabled by auto-checking. The modus operandi in project delivery will refocus on integrative design and resolution, instead of divergence and expediency.

CORENET X enables :

  1. Developers to enjoy overall improved cost, time, and quality project goals
  2. Qualified Persons (QPs) to have a true one-stop shopfront experience. With upfront coordination prior to submission, this will reduce the number of iterations between industry and agencies.
  3. Contractors and builders to receive coordinated models, minimize design discrepancy and abortive reworks, reduce safety hazards and risk, enjoying higher certainty of project delivery.

Training Mode

Remote or local, instructor-led live training courses demonstrate through interactive discussion and hands-on practice introductory as well as advanced topics for the most popular products. Remote live training is carried out by way of an interactive Zoom session. Innocom onsite live trainings can be carried out locally on customer premises or in Innocom corporate training centre in English language.

Industry recognized certifications

All participants will be receiving a Certificate of Attendance. This course is a PDU course accredited by the Professional Engineers Board Singapore . Attendees will attain 6 PDUs upon course completion .

The CORENET X project was initiated in 2018 with the objective to leverage technologies such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) and automation, to transform the regulatory approval process for building works. CORENET X is conceived as the future ecosystem of regulatory approvals, redefining Government to Business interactions as a One Stop Integrated Digital Shopfront. It adopts the agile approach and is targeted to be rolled out from end 2023.
“X” signifies the quantum leap in both technology and work processes. It is a new operating model that emphasizes integration and better design.
CORENET X will shift the current practice of consultants dealing separately with multiple agencies (and at times) using different versions of plans, to one where consultants come together, collaborate upfront to harmonise their designs, and produce one coordinated BIM model.
